Eating out is one of the greatest pleasures in visiting Korea .It is Korea’s traditional table is set with steamed rice, kimchi, fish, or meat, and soup but usually a great variety of Korean dishes are presented together on a table. Koreans use a spoon and chopsticks to eat.
In general, Korean dishes have a lot of flavor and garlic used in many of them. In fact, Korean dishes are quite varied and full of nutrition yet lowin calories.Kimchi and DoenJang paste made of soybeans are the well-known examples of Korean fermented foods, and these have recently become highly valued for their
disease-prevention effects. Korean dishes seasonings include red pepper, scallions, soy sauce, fermented bean paste, ginger, garlic and sesame oil.Korean table etiquette does not require that dishes be eaten in a specific order and Korean food is not served in courses. Instead it is all placed on the table at the same time. Koreans use the spoon for rice and soup,and the chopsticks for side dishes. Do not leave chopsticks inserted directly into the rice, as this is a ceremonial act performed in memorial services for the dead.
